1 John 4:10

Kelton is finally old enough to start AWANA. For those of you who are not familiar with AWANA, it comes from the first letters of the phrase "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" 2 Timothy 2:15. The preschool group is called "Cubbies". He has been wanting to go to Cubbies for a long time. His buddy Nathan started last year and he always wanted to go with him. I was really excited to get him into Cubbies too! We have been visiting Glen Meadows Baptist Church for a few months now, and they have such a great Children's Ministry. When we pick him up from his class, after church on Sundays, he always tells us what he learned that day.

Yesterday was his 1st day at Cubbies. It was just a fun day with lots of blow up toys to play on (jumphouses and slides). He had so much fun! On our way home, I was looking through the packet of information and found their Key Bible Verse: God loved us, and sent His Son. 1 John 4:10. I read it to Kelton a few times and then had him say it with me. I was so proud of him! He had his verse memorized in literally less than 2 minutes. Then of course, we kept repeating it until he went to bed. This morning, he woke me up with a big kiss and then he told me his verse. He is so proud of himself, and I am SO proud of him! It makes me so happy that he loves to learn about the Bible!
