Goose Egg

Well, tonight I got the first "Your child is hurt...you need to come get him" phone call. (Kelton was at Cubbies tonight.) Apparently they had been trying to call me and I didn't hear my phone ring. Then when they finally did reach me, we had a bad cell phone connection and I could barely hear what they were saying. I finally got that Kelton had hit his head and had a goose egg. They said he was ok but I should probably come up there. This was hard for me...When I was in Elementary School, I hit heads with a boy and got a huge goose egg, so i know how it feels and it was hard to not be there with my baby. Now I know how my mom must have felt! Needless to say, we rushed out the door to go get him!

When we got there (which seemed like it took FOREVER!) I had Michael drop me off up front so I could run in there quickly. When I got inside, there were probably 10 women (maybe even more) surrounding him. He was smiling and flirting with them! They had all fallen in love with him. Apparently he is quite the "Lady's Man". They said he was very alert and answering questions fine, and they said his bump was at least 1/2 the size as it had been. They had an ice pack on him for a while and it took it down a ton. I'm glad I didn't see it right after it happened!

They told me that he was going down the hall and hit the Door Way very hard. It threw him back and the teacher caught him. She saw it coming but couldnt get him in time. He must have a hard head because he dented the metal Door frame! Lol! They were asking him questions to make sure he was ok and here is how the 1st question went:

Teacher: "What is your name?"

Kelton: "Bruce Wayne."

Teacher: "Oh, but what is your real name?"

Kelton: "My real name is Bruce Wayne, but people call me Bruce."

Hahaha! They all got a kick out of that! They couldn't say enough good things about him and they were so apologetic. They kept saying how brave he was. It made me so happy that they had taken such good care of him! When I walked in, I had no doubt that they were caring for him. We are so pleased with the Children's Ministry at Glen Meadows! They are so sweet and caring. The Children's Minister gave Kelton a puppy because he was so brave...and they gave him like 8 cookies and 2 Hershey's Kisses (to make sure he would stay awake and alert, of course) hehe. I was perfectly fine with that though. Just happy that they loved my son enough to give him such great attention! Here are some pics. By the time we got home, it had already gone down so much! :)
This is his puppy...they named him Brave Puppy because Kelton was so brave

Ouch! The pictures seriously don't even do it justice...
This boy loves his Daddy!

That is a scary call to get. I am glad that he is okay. Poor teacher, it is hard when you can see an accident about to happen and you can't stop it.
I love his conversation with them about his name. He is such a silly boy!

Battle wounds are the best, at least his isn't permanent like the door's :) Bruce Wayne is undefeatable!! Geez, Michael and Kelton look NOTHING alike :) (total sarcasm, wink wink)
